Regulators Target Energy-Efficient Home Improvements Loans

WASHINGTON—Federal regulators are getting ready to clamp down on a popular loan software used to finance solar panels and other energy-saving domestic enhancements.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said Monday it’s far looking for public comments to put together for a brand new regulation that would deal with non-public creditors in a central authority-supported software known as Property Assessed Clean Energy like conventional loan creditors.
